Watch WWE Battleground 2014
Battleground (2014) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE. It took place on July 20, 2014 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. It was the second event under the Battleground chronology, with the event having originated in 2013. Nine matches (including, for the first time ever, two pre-shows) took place at the event. There were two main events. The first main event saw Seth Rollins defeat Dean Ambrose by forfeit. Ambrose attacked Rollins during a backstage segment until Triple H demanded security to escort Ambrose out the building. Rollins would make his way to the ring and asked the referee for a victory via forfeit. After receiving the victory, Rollins would be attacked by Ambrose, who managed to evade security, including hiding himself in a car’s boot and attacking Rollins yet again. The second main event saw John Cena defeat Roman Reigns, Kane and Randy Orton in a fatal 4 way to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
WWE’s Battleground pay-per-view will occur on This summer 20, 2014 in the Tampa Bay Occasions Forum in Tampa, FL.
Follow along for spoilers and knowledge around the event’s card, selection of matches and news concerning the pay-per-view.
Listed here are my predictions for that 2014 WWE Battleground PPV. Return for Battleground 2014 results and review coverage here.
John Cena defends WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Battleground 2014 PPV
WWE World Heavyweight Championship [Fatal 4-Way Match]: John Cena (c) versus. Randy Orton versus. Kane versus. Roman Reigns
This can be a large enough match to get results for this filler pay-per-view, even when it will not be considered a huge feature. It is also smart to keep things general instead of beginning a feud for Cena if he will drop the title to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
WWE Battleground 2014 wins Intercontinental Championship Fight Royal
Intercontinental Championship Fight Royal: Cesaro versus. Kofi Kingston versus. Damien Sandow versus. Great Khali versus. Take advantage of Van Dam versus. Dolph Ziggler versus. Big E versus. Ryback versus. Curtis Axel versus. Alberto Del Rio versus. Bo Dallas versus. Sheamus versus. Fandango versus. Crime Cara versus. Zack Ryder versus. The Miz versus. Adam Rose versus. Diego versus. R-Truth versus. Xavier Forest versus. Heath Slater versus. Titus O’Neil
It is a shame that Not So Good News Barrett is hurt, but a minimum of we’ll visit a new champion rather of getting the title just sit around and do nothing at all. Let me see Cesaro win this, but I’d really be okay with a few others, too. The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow, or Fandango are people who Let me see emerge on the top. Around I am and not the greatest Sheamus fan, a part of me even type of hopes he wins to unify the belts and merely have it taken care of, though I’d rather him function as the runner-up and whoever wins the Intercontinental title winds up unifying it at SummerSlam or Nights Champions against him.
WWE Battleground 2014 PPV Divas Championship results
Divas Championship: AJ Lee (c) versus. Paige
Well, there goes my understanding of a triple threat with Paige facing Naomi and Cameron, right? It is a shame, when i believe that might have labored with this month plus they might have held off on AJ Lee for SummerSlam. In the end, SummerSlam should be the #2 pay-per-view of the season, not really a supplemental one which is not but rematches, right? Since AJ Lee has came back and won the title, it is a considering that we’ll have this rematch here. It ought to be good, so this is a huge positive.
WWE Battleground PPV Event Wyatt versus Jericho spoilers
Chris Jericho versus. Bray Wyatt
Just like I believe WWE is skipping ahead never ever and depriving themselves of the extra month’s price of story using the Divas match, I believe it was an error. We’re able to have easily had Jericho versus The Miz and held off on Wyatt. Now, a SummerSlam match is not likely to be exciting between both of these unless of course they are doing something major to brighten up.
WWE Battleground 2-out-of-3 Falls New Tag Team Champions Luke Harper Erick Rowan
Tag Team Championship [2-out-of-3 Falls Match]: The Usos versus. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan
The final match was excellent and reports say this feud continues. It appears as though that’s true, as they are still getting some random tag matches together. At this time, I really hope The Usos keep your titles, as they are consistently performing well and that i have my doubts concerning the Wyatt Family matching that momentum or surpassing it….though I still believe that we’ll visit a title switch. Getting this be considered a 2-out-of-3 Falls match is intriguing and should certainly function as the blowoff with this feud.
WWE Battleground Event Money in the Bank cash-in Seth Rollins versus Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose versus. Seth Rollins
I am very excited to determine this match. It has an opportunity to be the greatest among the night. To become fair, though, I believe useless match backward and forward would finish up being much better (just like a Street Fight or something like that), and that i hope that’s coming at SummerSlam. Certainly be on the lookout so far as this match is worried.
WWE Battleground PPV 2014 Rusev defeats Swagger results
Rusev versus. Jack Swagger
WE The Folks! Jack Swagger is finally a babyface and it is unfortunate that he’ll be given to Rusev, but a minimum of this is one step up from what he’s been doing as recently. I fully welcome this transformation in character and I am interested in seeing this match than other things Rusev has been doing in several weeks. I still most likely will not be considered a huge fan from the segment, however i know I’ll appreciate it much more if Swagger wins.
